There are certainly no prizes for guessing the theme of this Net Entertainment slot machine. Jack and the Beanstalk is of course based on the British fairy tale of a young boy living with his mum, who accepts magic beans in exchange for a cow. Jack and plants the beans and they grow into a giant beanstalk. Jack eventually robs the riches from a giant who lives at the top of the beanstalk, only to be pursued by him. Jack eventually kills the giant by chopping down the beanstalk. Yes, it is far-fetched, but what do you expect from a fairytale. Thankfully, the slot is anything but!

How to play Jack and the Beanstalk slots online

The 3D slot machine version of this fairytale is far more enjoyable for adults. Players can begin placing wagers with coins varying from £0.01 up to £0.50. A total of 10 coins per line can also be wagered, making the Jack and the Beanstalk slot have a minimum wager of £0.01 and a top bet limit of £100 per spin.

The high playing card icons are the lowest paying symbols in this game, with each of them being drawn in a beanstalk manner. The best you are ever going to get here is 100 coins for 5 aces. The mystical treasure chest is the scatter symbol in this slot. Like many Net Entertainment scatter symbols, it will trigger free spins if enough of it is accumulated across the reels. 3 or more scatter symbols will trigger 10 free spins for the player. Should a player bag 3 or more scatters during the free spins round, an additional 5 free spins will be added. The free spins round keeps the same bet as the player used during standard play.

The wild symbol

The wild symbols in this slot are known as Walking Wild icons. The wild icon is represented by the Jack and the Beanstalk logo. Every time a wild is found, a re-spin is triggered, with the wild moving over one reel to left. As long as a wild is present on the reels, the re-spins will continue to occur time and time again, with the symbols always moving one spot over to the left.

All wild wins are met with a 3x multiplier and they can substitute themselves for all symbols, save for the scatter and bonus icon. The wild icon can also appear during the free spins bonus round. The wild icons can also take the shape of Jack’s three treasures; the money bag, the golden hen and the golden harp.

The Treasure Collection

The fifth reel can contain key symbols, in the shape of a key of course. This bonus icon will trigger one of three treasure collection bonuses when enough are found, but only in the free spins round. Find 3 key symbols and the next wild appearing on the screen will be a stacked wild of 2 moneybags. Find 6 key symbols and the next wild will be a stacked reel of 3 golden hens. Finally, find 9 keys, the next wild will be one expanding wild with a golden harp. These three bonus features will result in some truly massive wins.

A total jackpot of 600,000 coins is available to be won in this non-progressive jackpot slot.  Of course the best way to win such a jackpot is to have all of the luck in the world and land the free spins round, followed by the expanding wild Golden Harp symbols. But make no mistake, this is no easy feat.

Other notes on Jack and the Beanstalk

There is much to love about this slot. The graphics are absolutely superb, as you might expect with a 3D slot machine game. The audio is pretty nifty too. What really makes the game enjoyable for gamers though, is the sheer amount of wilds and free spins that are potentially available.

To be fair, Net Entertainment haven’t gone cheap on the high playing card icons, as they are also worth decent payouts, particularly if you playing with low cost wagers. Inevitably though, if you want to stand the best chance of winning, you need to bag those free spins and bonus stacked and expanding wilds. It’s not easy, but if it was, then everybody would be playing it wouldn’t they?

All in all, Net Entertainment have released a corker here, and unlike the fairytale, this version of Jack and the Beanstalk is very much suitable for adults!
